The Institute for Tunnelling and Construction Management, under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Thewes, deals with a wide range of practical questions in the field of tunnelling and construction in the context of research. These include problems related to:

In the past, the Institute for Tunnelling and Construction Management has been able to gain valuable and long-term experience in the field of tunnel safety and security as wall as life cycle accounting through projects such as SKRIBT, SKRIBT+ and SOLIT². In the course of U-THREAT, RUB-TLB contributes its expertise significantly in the development of an assessment methodology for the analysis of vulnerability as well as in structural analysis and life cycle analysis.
