Various threats and events may limit the availability of underground public transport systems. On the basis of so-called "fact sheets", some prominent events in the past were analyzed in more detail on the basis of media reports. The following are listed, among other things: amount of personal injury and property damage as well as effects on operation, structures and users. The aim was to better understand the causes, effects and interrelations of the failure of the availability of underground public transport systems.
